Gtanner I think basically you are correct so now the tablet has no os and twrp has not been mounting the external sd and was getting error when trying to sideload. Try that first and report back also reformat the micro card if neither work then droidbound and I have many more suggestions I assure you. A custom recovery image, however, is a recovery image that a developer has altered that can not only help the device if it becomes responsive, but also has the added benefits of allowing us to make major changes to the operating system and have even further customizations on your device. Then i flashed clockworkmod recovery via adb.

You can and always could flash roms in TWRP – that’s what a recovery is for The whole process is fairly simple and can be completed within min. Very easy and it did everything for me. You need to be rooted for this procedure to work.

Date is off by 1 month in recovery – this is an Asus bug that can’t be fixed easily.

Find the SDK Only section on the page linked and install the SDK and download only the platform-tools to get adb and fastboot binaries. Rename the image to twrp.

The content is usually good, but the words may not be intelligible. You can also flash the addb unzipped Asus firmware in TWRP, but you will loose your custom recovery if you do that.
And since then my device is stuck on the ASUS logo. I have the latest asus rom and I need to know either how to push it to the tablet and flash from twrp or use windows to do a adb sideload. So now i’m kinda hopeless.
