I do find it very easy to hit straight, but if I get too lazy, I could still send one out to the right – bad swings! Second swing, I realized it was the club. Not that it means anything, just stating the fact in this case. In all honesty a driver lasts typically one year with me anyway. My only issue is the high ball flight.

It’s not just marketing, I did find about 3 MPH more club head speed on average.

I also had a slightly higher club head speed which puzzled me to be honest. Posted 12 February – The ft9 was VERY straight though, but I hit it harder, plus it was giving me a slightly higher smash factor!
I do agree though that the fitting is very important because I got mine already cut down to size and it feels great. For an average guy, I would say this is a ‘mild’ draw If you find the flight a little high for you try the Tour or Tour Draw version where the weight is slightly further back, although the face is that extra degree open which better players will like.
It really is too bad adhust didn’t have the Tour available for you to hit. I am sure it has to do with the shaft being nearly 46″.
Clubs that made the second second cut: I say that because it is still a beast but doesn’t have the offensive sounds, or appearance we associate with ‘geometric’, technology based drivers. The Hyperbolic Face Cup Technology means the ball will travel off the clubface faster than ever before!

I tend to have a fairly brisk tempo, and the stiff Fubuki shaft works for my swing as well as not feeling boardy at all. I had a big swing change this winter, and this is probably going to be it I have really grooved into it. The numbers don’t lie. While this Callaway driver uses state-of-the-art technology it manages to retain a traditional and classy look. A toe hit adjuzt goes very straight, but the yardage is reduced the most.

Moreso, I had trouble controlling it. Overall with the brief eposure I have had so far, the Ft-iQ, while not idiot-proof, provides a very solid feel, and does kinda’ do what it is supposed to do. I was getting pretty tired at this point.

I personally believe these shafts play a tad stiffer than “Made for OEM” shafts. The down side is I didn’t get quite the ball speed I wanted. I have used a FT-5 for a long time.
